New Weapon: Panzerfaust

Get ready for the use of Panzerfaust which is a newly-added weapon introduced in PUBG Season 6. There are some drawbacks to collect this type of weapon, even though it is regarded as a strong AoE damage tool on the battlegrounds. The first drawback is that it requires a primary weapon slot and this can restrict your options on the various terrain of Karakin. Although the projectile moves quickly, they can still be dodged by players who are attentive. In addition, this weapon has a blackblast area behind it, which means you must stay watchful for those squadmates before shooting it off.

  • You can only find PUBG Panzerfaust on Karakin map.
  • Abnormal world spawn found across the map.
  • Promised to be available in every airdrop.
  • Upon collision, the Panzerfaust warhead will blow up. Also, it can be exploded mid-air.
    • 6m is the damage radius from the point of collision.
    • The explosion of this weapon is able to dish out splash damage through thin walls and objects, which is based on a short distance.
    • It can be utilized to crack specific walls on Karakin, the same as the Sticky Bomb.
    • The warhead will detonate mid-air, prior to the collision, if it gets damaged by explosions or shot by a bullet.
  • It can be used once only.
    • After the warhead has been shot, the Panzerfaust tube will be abandoned and cannot be collected again.
  • Shooting the warhead creates a blackblast, so you have to be careful!
    • Players that are within a 3m zone right behind the weapon will be damaged by the blackblast.
    • Make sure you will not have any teammates or a wall too close behind you when shooting the warhead of the Panzerfaust.
  • Zeroing options are at 60, 100 (default) and 150 meters.

Weapon Balance Changes

This latest update 6.3 for PUBG Console introduces some weapon balance changes. Since the end of the season is coming close, some PUBG weapons have received some balance changes to make the gaming experience of all players much better, especially Tommy Gun, M249, UMP-45, and DBS. The Tommy Gun has been a weak weapon for a while, so now, it’s getting a sight slot for red dots and holos and its damage is getting increased. For the M249, it now moves from Care Packages to common loot with a little damage and a bit more recoil. For the UMP-45, this weapon got nerfed a little too hard with the change from 9mm. You can dive deeper into the balance changes for all these guns.

Tommy Gun

  • PUBG Tommy Gun is now more powerful and adaptable. You can equip Red Dots and Holos to your Tommy now.
    • There is an upper rail added to attach Red Dot and Holo Sights.
    • There was an increase in the shooting rate from 700 to 750.
    • There was an increase in shooting accuracy.
      • There was a reduction in the bullet deviation penalty when shooting for an extra duration.
    • There was an increase in the moving accuracy.
    • There was a reduction in the recoil when shooting for an extra duration.
      • This is because of the grown rate of shooting.

  • You will not find M249 from Care Packages anymore. PUBG M249 has now become a common loot on all PUBG maps. You can even equip more attachments to this weapon. However, it becomes a little bit harder for controlling and it doesn’t deal much damage.
    • Stock attachment slot has been attached.
      • You can attach a Tactical Stock to make the weapon stability much better.
    • Magazine attachment slot has been attached.
      • The standard ammo capacity was lessened to 75.
      • With an extended mag, it can hold 150.
    • There was a reduction in the base bullet damage from 45 to 40.
    • There was a reduction in recoil.
    • PUBG M249 can be found on all PUBG maps.
    • It appears as the semi-rare spawn.

  • PUBG UMP-45 has been strengthened across the board. Thanks to this power-up, the UMP now becomes a more feasible choice for the player’s arsenal.
    • There was an increase in the base bullet damage from 39 to 41.
    • There was an increase in the rate of shooting from 650 to 670.
    • There was an increase in the muzzle velocity from 300 to 360.
      • This also signifies an increase to the speed at which bullets go away from the barrel, which makes it somewhat easier to go behind the moving targets.

  • PUBG DBS shotgun was eliminated from Care Packages.
  • Now, it can be found and collected on all PUBG maps as rare ground loot.

Dev Note: After learning the community feedback, some of the first plans of the development team have been changed. The M249 will now be found on all maps as rare ground loot. The same goes for the DBS that has been eliminated from Care Packages.

Together with these balance changes made to PUBG weapons, there has been an update made to the M249 and Tommy Gun models and shooting sounds as well.

‘Console QOL: 1st Controller improvement’ on Preset A

  • On PresetA, as you hold Aim/ADS, your Aim/ADS will still be kept even if you carry out an action, like falling, jumping, crouching or going prone.
    • For instance, when you make a movement as you hold ADS, you descend down the hill or under the building:
      • Before, you have let loose the ADS button and hold it again.
      • After: You will keep holding your ADS after the falling action has been completed.

Dev Note: The development team has also received feedback to use this on PresetA too after the PUBG Console 5.2 update of ‘Console QOL: 1st Controller improvement’. Now, they bring this into Preset A. A big thank from the development team to all players who have used the update features well. Hopefully, this deployment makes your experience much better.

Quality of Life Improvements

  • Made the visibility of nearby items on the ground much better by upgrading the glowing effect and attaching a new pulse effect.
  • The new pulse effect can be put out of action and is exhibited as “Item Flashing Effect” under Gameplay settings.
  • [Team Deathmatch] When you join combat (shooting a weapon, throwing a grenade, etc.), your invincibility will be eliminated immediately.
  • [Team Deathmatch] Your Xbox friends will know when you’re fragging in TDM thanks to Rich Presence.

  • An extra ringtone has been attached to the Sticky Bomb.
  • While you are within 10-15m from Blue Zone, you can hear the low volume humming sound now.
  • This will help you learn when the Blue Zone is getting close.

Survivor Pass: Shakedown

  • The third track of Survivor Pass missions is now accessible and the new missions go with an explosive theme.
  • The current season of both the Survivor Pass and Survival Title System will be over on April 24 PDT 2 AM / April 24 CEST 11 AM
    • For the last two weeks prior to the conclusion of the pass, players will see a countdown on the Survivor Pass lobby banner that tells them about the pass end date.
    • Whoever buys Premium Pass will see a pop-up message, which notifies them the time left until the pass ends.
  • You can buy Premium Pass and Level-up items until the end of the pass.
  • You will see the result page from April 24 PDT 2 AM / April 24 CEST 11 AM until maintenance on April 28.

Dev Note: The end date of the Survivor Pass has been extended by three days because of the former mission unlocking issue.

Custom Match

  • You can play on the Karakin map in Custom Matches.
  • There was also an addition of Esports mode presets.
  • You will not play on the classic Erangel map in the custom match.
  • ‘KillerSpectateMode’ is now allowed for Normal Mode and Esport Mode custom matches.

Other different changes

  • You can search for Sticky Bombs in Training Mode now.
