PUBG PC Update 4.3 Full Patch Notes: Added Survival Mastery, PUBG ID, New Weapon DBS And More

DBS Shotgun, Survival Mastery, and many more other updates are dropping onto battlegrounds in PUBG game. The season 4 keeps going on with the latest PUBG PC update, promising to make the gameplay performance much better. All survivors are welcome back to the battlefields to experience more interesting updates.

Thanks to the latest PUBG Patch Notes 4.3, players will have a chance to express themselves in more ways. Specifically, they can get access to a new progression system called Survival Mastery to hone their non-lethal play skills. In addition to this, players can now enjoy a new shotgun called DBS which can be collected from Care Packages. For more information about this Update 4.3, let’s have a look at it below now!

What’s new in PUBG Patch Notes 4.3?

Survival Mastery

  • Survival Mastery system is a new feature added to PUBG 4.3 in order to help players grow their non-lethal skills through over time. Together with Weapon Mastery, you will have a lot of chances to show off yourself on the battlefields and try to win matches to get new rewards or even get access to your PUBG ID.
“Develop your not-so-killer instincts
  • Feel free to level up yourself by earning a lot of XP based on your survival styles.
  • The system runs through all seasons without getting influenced by them. 500 will be the level cap for Survival Mastery.
  • Based on the following situations, you can earn different amounts of XP:
    • Looting
    • Making use of items during battles
    • Combat
    • Bringing life back to a teammate

Match summary timeline

  • All of the survival actions that you have already executed in a battle will be summarized by the match summary timeline.
  • To have a look back on your survival actions in the former matches in timeline order, you will select Mastery then choose the Last Match tab.

  • All of your activities will be displayed in the timeline, with other XP gaining activities too:
    • The landing point
    • The place where you execute certain actions.
    • The amount of damage you have dished out or taken.
    • The distance you have traveled using vehicles.
    • The Blue Zone phases that you have survived.

  • When you click on the Mastery tab then choose the Survival tab, all of your recent survival patterns will be shown, and they were collected from your data.

  • Your recent play patterns will be tracked by the survival style. To do this, it will collect and analyze all of your data when playing PUBG. You can check all the information included below here:
  • Average engagement length
  • Average engagement distance
  • Items looted per game
  • Distance traveled per game
  • Hot drop rate
  • Damage taken per game
  • The 3 most important of these characteristics will be shown

Survival Mastery – PUBG ID

  • With the new system, expressing yourself is no longer difficult. You can show off and display your progression with Survival Mastery rewards.
  • There are some elements provided by PUBG ID that you need to note, including Survival Mastery Level, Player ID, Emblem, Background, and Poses.
    • Added a summary or detailed recap to the game.
  • You can look and switch from the Mastery > Survival tab.
  • Players can check the PUBG ID of other ones in some situations:
    • The teammate from the former battle
    • The enemy you annihilated and the enemy that annihilated you
  • Emblems
    • An emblem will be granted to players for every 10 levels (5, 15, 25…)
    • Feel free to show yourself off with multiple emblems on your own PUBG ID.
  • Backgrounds
    • A background will be granted to players for every 10 levels (10, 20, 30…)
    • Express your identity with multiple backgrounds on your own PUBG ID.
  • Poses
    • A pose will be granted to players for every 100 levels (100, 200, 300…)
    • This is the top reward in the system. By using the Survivor tab and PUBG ID, you can alter your pose.
    • Your poses will use your equipped clothing
    • You cannot apply other skins, like vehicles and weapons, to your poses.
  • BP Rewards
    • You will get BP for the levels that don’t give you any rewards.

New Weapon: DBS

  • DBS is the latest double barrel pump-action shotgun you can only collect from Care Packages.
  • You can load up to fourteen 12-gauge rounds thanks to two internal magazine tubes.
    • With the combined firing mechanics, DBS can help you give out massive bursts of damage in a short period of time.
  • On the rail of the gun, you can add a Holographic, Red Dot Sight, and 2x to 6x Scopes.
  • Maximum effective range to inflict damage using the DBS is 100m

Gameplay

  • Made an improvement to the consistency of shotgun
    • Developed the hit probability, particularly in medium shotgun range
    • Developed the damage drop-off over distance
    • Already enhanced the minimum per pellet damage within effective range of every shotgun to 4
      • But not for the Sawed-Off, which is just 3
      • Now, all PUBG Shotgun deals 9 pellets total per round
  • The balance of shotgun was modified
    • All PUBG Shotguns employ more realistic ballistic curves from now (speed is reduced through over time)
    • The recoil effects of the shotguns got an update
    • Already modified the damage multiplier
      • Headshot: From 1.5 to 1.2
      • Torso: From 1.0 to 0.9
    • S686
      • 80 m is now the maximum effective range
      • The reload speed was developed by 20%
    • S1897
      • 80 m will be maximum effective range from now
      • The pump action speed was developed by 20%
      • Pump action will not un-ADS the player for the time being anymore
    • Sawed-Off
      • 80 is the maximum effective range from now
      • 50 m is the maximum increased probability range from now
      • 9 is the total number of pellets fired now
      • The damage per pellet was reduced from 22 to 20
    • Duckbill attachment: pellet spread multiplier was upgraded from 0.8 to 1.0
  • The weapon impact effects got an update
    • Since decals and particle effects get more directional from now, players will be able to know where the shots come from.
    • Size and traits of the effect will completely count on the surface being hit and the class of the weapon that player used for shooting.
  • QoL improvement for healing items as players walk
    • While you are moving, you can use the healing items, but you cannot walk at a fast speed. The items can be used even when you move at walking pace.
      • This is so different from before when you had to fully stop if you wanted to use the healing items
  • Now you can modify the Canted Sight reticle and the brightness, which is identical to the Red Dot

Sound

  • The volume of the Red Zone experienced a reduction
  • The balance of footstep sounds volume and attenuation was remade
  • When you reach the outer limit of footstep audible range, the sounds of the footstep will be significantly decreased.
  • When you parachute down onto the ground, the sound effects will be different based on the type of the surface material
  • The ledge-grab sound effects received some improvements
  • Turntable now receives a brand new song
    • The former song was replaced by this new song

Survivor Pass: Aftermath

  • On October 16th KST, the season of the Survivor Pass and Survivor Title System will come to a conclusion.
  • For Survivor Pass, players will see an on-screen message, pop-up, and countdown on the Survivor Pass banner in the lobby, which begins from October 2nd. This will let them know when the pass finishes.
    • For the ones that bought Premium Pass and Level-Up items, they will also see a pop-up message telling them the time left until the conclusion of the pass.
  • You can buy Premium Pass and Level-up items until the pass period finishes

UI/UX

  • The duo/squad team UI now has better readability thanks to the background blur effects
  • Made an improvement to the visibility of the shooting mode indicator on the HUD to more differentiate shooting modes
  • The brightness of equipment icons was reduced

  • The UI now has a headphone icon right of the health HUD to signify when the Instant Volume Reducer (F7) is activated
    • Also, there is now a system message displayed at the bottom of the screen when this function is toggled.

Performance

  • Implemented some small performance optimizations to enhance FPS in areas where multiple players are in close proximity to one another
  • Implemented some visual improvements to shadows and upgraded rendering performance
  • Made an alteration to the live servers reducing a problem that is able to cause loot to show up late, mostly once a player has landed from their parachute.

Improved Zombie Mode

No more slow and weak zombies! With the following improvements, Zombie modes in PUBG game are getting much better.

  • Zombies are now armed with more powerful physical capabilities
    • Zombies are able to jump higher, run much faster and attack enemies more quickly
      • The running speed of zombies was upgraded by 1.5 times
      • The jumping height of zombies was upgraded by 2 times
      • The speed of attacks of zombies was upgraded by 1.5 times
    • Zombies are now armed with more health and better healing power
      • The strength of zombies was upgraded by more than 2 times
      • They are able to restore their health automatically when they are not in combat
      • When the zombies fall from high areas, they take no fall damage
      • They don’t even take much damage from guns, excluding for headshots
    • They are now able to drive vehicles
      • They can make their way through areas with vehicles rather than using their foot to run

PUBG Partner Icon

  • You will see an icon in front of PUBG Partner’s nicknames in the custom matches. You only spot this icon in the match information section as well as in the waiting room.

Matchmaking

  • A system was already carried out to concentrate on matching players that speak the same language together in Duo and Squad modes
  • Because of this alteration, it is probably put on a team of 2-3 players when playing Squads

Replay System

  • The replay system also received an update. This means that players cannot get access to the replay files from the former updates anymore.

Bug Fixes

  • Already fixed a problem in which the footstep sounds of a certain character cannot be heard when they move backward against the corners of objects.
  • The smoke UI timer didn’t sync accurately when the replay is passed over in the replay mode, and this issue was already fixed.
  • Made a fix to a problem in which the Flare Gun shooting animation is completely covered in the prone position.
  • Made a fix to a problem in which grenade damage in rare cases could be taken through some objects.
  • Made a fix to an issue in which an incorrect kill distance was displayed when an unconnected player is destroyed.
  • Fixed a problem in which UAZ wheels would not receive destruction after it has been punched many times.
  • Made a fix to a problem in which skull icons are wrongly shown on the mini-map in the Simplified Chinese language version.
  • Already solve a problem that generated an excessively bright light effect in the side mirror of motorcycles.
  • Made a fix to a problem in which players could not receive destruction from other players after being punched inside vehicles.
  • Solved an issue in which players could not see the parachutes in training mode with a completely equipped bag.
  • Fixed a problem in which players had to be out of the training mode when vaulting over a certain wall.
  • Made a fix to a problem in which zombie players sometimes have the look of the human in the zombie mode.
  • Already fixed a problem in which the lung capacity icon would not be visible correctly when holding breath while swimming.
  • Fixed a problem that obstructed the sounds of footsteps from being heard in some special cases when players were sprinting through some puddles.
